Ella is an early career theatre theatremaker and producer from London. She is interested in working on and with new writing, verbatim and documentary theatre, and anything based in the archival. Their aim is to make work that challenges preconceptions of what theatre can and should be.
She has a BA in English from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Arts Management, Policy & Practice from the University of Manchester, during which she wrote a dissertation on the British Library's Playscripts Collections that discussed how theatre censorship affected - and continues to affect - archival theory and practice. It won the Lorraine Lim Prize for Best Dissertation.
Outside of their theatre practice, she works in the Commercial team at Little Angel Theatre and likes walks in nice parks, eating pasta and watching The West Wing (preferably at the same time). They also love the band Bleachers.
